RED HOOK ROTARY SEEKS STUDENTS
FOR
2021 SCHOLARSHIPS

The Red Hook Rotary Club and Red Hook Rotary Foundation are pleased to announce that the Foundation will award three scholarships of $1,000 each to students planning to attend an accredited college, university or vocational school.

Each applicant must be a graduating senior and a legal resident of the Red Hook Central School District, Pine Plains School District or Germantown Central School District. Awards will be based on involvement in community service activities, leadership ability, and communication skills.  Scholarships may be awarded to a student attending a four year college or an accredited vocational or community college program.

Each student selected for an award must successfully complete their senior year and attend an accredited college, university or vocational school of his or her choice.  Scholarship awards will be distributed to the winning student to reimburse the student for any educational expense (eg. tuition, required books, computer, required equipment, etc.).

Scholarship applicants must submit the following:

1. Completed scholarship application

2. An up-to-date transcript

3. Three (3) letters of reference; one of the letters MUST be from your school guidance counselor

A selection committee composed of members of the Red Hook Rotary Club will review your completed application package.  Virtual interviews may be arranged with the semifinalists and conducted via Zoom with Red Hook Rotary members.  Keep in mind that the committee will look for candidates who most exemplify the notable traits of Rotary, including goodwill, leadership ability, and service to others.

Application forms may be obtained from the Guidance Office at your high school. Completed applications MUST be mailed to RED HOOK ROTARY CLUB, Post Office Box 88, Red Hook, NY 12571. ATTN: LINDA GREENBLATT, by MONDAY, APRIL 19, 2021.
