RadioRotary expands to Orange, Sullivan Counties
Celebrating the expansion of RadioRotary are, left to right, Rotary District Governor Drew Kessler, District Public Relations Chair Stan Martin, RadioRotary co-host Jonah Triebwasser and WTBQ's
Frank Trautt.

Rotarians and their friends in Orange and Sullivan counties can now listen to the award-winning RadioRotary interview program every Saturday morning at 11:30 a.m. on WTBQ 1110AM and 93.5 FM.

Professional radio hosts Jonah Triebwasser and Sarah O'Connell, members of the Red Hook and Millbrook Rotary Clubs, respectively, interview people who work at the grassroots level on programs that address such important Rotary issues as poverty, illiteracy, hunger, disease and the environment.

The 30-minute programs were started more than six years ago by Rotary District 7210, which contains 63 clubs in the Hudson Valley. Over 200 archivded shows are available at radiorotary.org.

The New York State Broadcasters Association, which includes both radio and television, has presented its prestigious Award of Excellence in Broadcasting in the category of Public Affairs Program/Series to RadioRotary for the second year in a row.

Rotary District Public Releations Chair Stan Martin helped coordinate the expansion with WTBQ owner Frank Truatt. Both are members of the Warwick Valley Rotary Club. A former Rotary assistant governor, Martin said the additional coverage area will provide new programming possibilities for 16 Rotary clubs in the two counties plus those in northwestern New Jersey.

Orange County has Rotary clubs in Goshen, Chester, Monroe-Woodbury, Newburgh, Walden, New Windsor-Cornwall, West Point-Highland Falls, Warwick, Middletown, Wallkill East, Port Jervis and Minisink Valley. Sullivan County Rotary Clubs are in Liberty, Livingston Manor, Monticello and Mamakating.
